Thank you for visiting my site.

I had been drawing and painting most of my life for pleasure alone, however about 15 years ago I discovered that other people also enjoyed my work.   Unexpectedly, I won a competition, received a prize and sold my painting - and that changed everything.   Suddenly, I was a ‘real’ artist and as a result my work changed, it grew, and my brush strokes found a new spark, a new confidence.

Since that time, I have won several awards and sold many paintings. The joy I experience when someone feels that one of my works should become a part of their home and their lives is difficult to explain, perhaps because it is, well for me anyway, magical.

I have a passion for portraits and in recent years have begun to accept commissions to create specific and personal subjects on request.  The technique I have developed enables me to create wonderful paintings from treasured photographs and discussions with you about your memories and the important moments in which those images were captured.
